Please join us in cleaning headstones in this pioneer cemetery.
We’ll start with a brief history of Greenwood, followed by a demonstration of safe headstone cleaning techniques. Headstone cleaning is satisfying and important work.
Details: Supervisors will be on hand to show volunteers VA-approved, safe, headstone cleaning techniques. Cleaning supplies will be provided but if you can, please bring gloves. All ages are welcome. Snacks and water will also be provided. Advance registration required.
Wear: sun hat, work clothes and sturdy shoes. Terrain is irregular.
