Veterans Projects

Several veterans’ projects were completed at Placerville Union Cemetery in 2024. Highlights include the identification of all veterans in the cemetery, cleaning/straightening/repairing over 150 veteran headstones, and the installation of a memorial bench and boulder along with a Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) interpretive sign with a link to all veterans buried in Placerville Union Cemetery.
