This year’s Save the Graves event highlights four significant crimes that shook El Dorado County in the late 19th century. These were violent crimes, and while we have made every effort not to sensationalize them, our goal remains to present local history through the perspectives of those involved. The subject matter may be uncomfortable for some, and we approach it with care and respect.

Tickets can be purchased on the day of the event at the gate. We accept cash and credit cards.
Gates open at 9:30am with the first performance at 10:30. The last performance begins at 3:10.
Each show features one of four major crimes and lasts approximately 25 minutes. Shows repeat every 40 minutes. Schedules will be posted and in the program. Get there early for good seating. Seating is limited after show begins. Ushers will be available to assist with seating and directions.
We have 2 main stages with 4 shows repeated throughout the day. On a separate stage, El Dorado County’s first deputy sheriff will be performing throughout the day, alternating with brief talks by Mike Roberts on cemetery lore.

Parking is very limited along Bee Street. We encourage you to park at El Dorado High School parking lot (561 Canal Street.) Passengers may also be dropped off in front of the cemetery.
A free shuttle service is provided to and from the lot directly to the front gates of the cemetery. Inside the cemetery, a golf cart will provide shuttle service up the hill.
Food will be available for purchase from Chunks of Heaven. They will be located at the front entrance of the cemetery. You are also free to bring your own food.
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed unless you have an approved service animal.
Tickets are nonrefundable.
In the event of rain, we may announce an alternate indoor venue.
